What do you hope to accomplish in the 2018 session?
I plan to continue focusing on improving the state response to child abuse and neglect and improving services to Oklahoma's vulnerable populations. We will also work as a team to stabilize state budgets through tax and expenditure reforms and a return to specific budgeting practices.
What do you hope the Legislature will accomplish?
Our system of budgeting and taxing is outdated and based on an old economy. We simply must continue to get better at meeting the needs of our citizens, investing in infrastructure and improving Oklahoma's quality of life by making better use of our resources. My constituents don't want more government and they don't want to spend more money. They do want better government. I think that is a reasonable request.
What should people know about you?
I am always willing to listen to any input. It is my goal to always remain solution focused, to work on things that are important to my neighbors and to build a state where opportunity is plentiful.
