Q&A

What do you hope to accomplish in the 2018 session?
The biggest thing I hope to accomplish is criminal justice reform. I have a bill that would radically change the entire structure. I feel like we keep voting bills that are like a little Band-Aid, change a few laws, but we have a broken a criminal justice system that needs to radically change. So I’ve got a bill that I hope will at least start a conversation about changing it.

What do you hope the Legislature will accomplish?
One of the biggest things I hope we can accomplish is to get stabilization in the budget, to get a state budget that we no longer have to come back and argue over. And we need not just a teacher raise, but I feel like all state employees deserve a raise.

What should people know about you?
That I’m for the working class, that I want to be known as a godly Christian man, and that I want to help everyone in the state of Oklahoma.
